I was going to write awesome twenty times but the bottom line is I love this item. I did spend some time trimming it exactly to my drawer and caulked it on the edges. The I put a full extension slow closer (Blum) on it to take advantage of the rear compartment. Awesome.
All though I didn't need it I picked up this knife because I found it deeply discounted.
I have been using this product for years and I love it. The best sharpner I have ever found. I give them as gifts to everyone I know. This product would be a great product as it actually decants the wine. The problem is a poor design. First, it drips down the bottle. Why can't the do it like a non-drip teapot spout. Second, and this is major (I found this out the hard way). Not all bottles are made equal. Some bottle openings are just a hair larger than what this insert is designed for. You insert the unit and it seems ok, but when you start to pour, the unit falls out and you have wine all over the place. I purchased this pourer recently to quickly aerate every-day wine. For high-quality wines and/or more formal dinners, I continue to use a decanter, but to help with everyday-quality wine (< $20/bottle), as well as everyday use, I find this aerator helps. I've owned the item for only a few weeks, but I find it to be reasonably durable. I simply rinse it with hot water (I never use soap in any type of decanter). Previously I had purchased a bulb-type of aerator, but I broke it not one day after I began using it. I think that $30 is a bit high for something like this, but if it does hold up, I think it's a worthwhile purchase.
I chose this for a gift to someone who has this pattern but needs more serving pieces. This pattern is clean but still elegant. If the pattern suits your style I would highly recommend it.
I purchased the Chef Harvey 5 Piece Garnishing Set. It consisted of a corrugated garnishing tool, food decorator, spiral slicer, twin curl cutter and paring knife. With shipping and handling it cost $22.00. The food decorator is made out of such thin metal it feels like it will cut your hand if you give it a firm grip. The spiral slicer has a thick plastic screw tip that splits the carrots rather than cutting them in a spiral. Twin curl cutter is just as cheap to the look and feel. Not surprisingly, at the bottom of the invoice, it says "thanks for your order non returnable". So even the company must know it's an inferior product.

These have a great vintage look, and are well made molded glass. Forget 24% lead crystal, but they're everything they claim to be. A great addition to your table for a budget price. They're not Lalique or St. Louis, but they're a tenth the price they would be if they were. I looked for quite a while and they're the best looking set I could locate, most like the antique ones I so love. Shipping was realy fast. I'd say, if you want a good, basic, understated set of knife rests, you would probably be quite contented with these.
After being frustrated with our old can opener not opening cans easily, we decided to buy a new one. We bought the Proctor Silex can opener, and have been very pleased with how easy it opens up most cans on the first attempt (our old can opener usually took 3-5 tries to get it to start cutting). One thing I don't like about this can opener is that the cutting attachment comes off too easily. It pops off almost every time I finish cutting open a can. It is easy to put back into its slot, but it is frustrating how easy it is to get it off. I really wish they would redesign how the cutting attachement locks into place, as if that was fixed, this would be a great can opener.

In the process of replacing all of the small appliances in my kitchen, I decided to go with black or black/brushed metal for all of the new items, and I realized it was time for the 11-year-old white drugstore can opener to go. Bought this opener because I was tired of trying to open tall cans with an average size electric opener.Not only does it open cans that are taller, but it does it with ease. Locks on can top, stays on through entire cycle. My last opener would often get half way through the can and miss spot before juming off track. Not this one! I am very pleased.
The orange handle is more safety orange than orange orange. Which is really too bad, because they could be a lot cuter than that are. Good for prepping, but look really funny at the dinner table.

Great cutting / chopping block. I ordered the board for my daughter a professional chef. Did not have the shipping damage or excessive irregular flip side as mentioned in earlier reviews. It came delivered in a thick cardboard carton that put 4 full layers against the cutting surface and 2 at all other sides. I only wish it was reversible and had lifting groves. ordered and rec'v the BB from Boos. It was really a beautiful piece --------------at least on one side. The other side had voids where some of the wood pieces weren't the same length as others. This made this side unuseable. Anyway, given the high price for this item, I contacted Boos and arranged for an exchange. The 1st one has been picked up 3 weeks ago and we are waiting for the replacement. Boos customer service has been quite helpful and I'm confident that this will all work out well. Hopefully soon and then we can give this the full rating of 4+ stars you would expect.
Awesome product! We already own this set and bought 8 more for use by our guests. We owned our first set for 12 yrs and experienced great ease in cutting steaks. Periodically we sharpen the knives and we've even cleaned them in the dishwasher with no problems. I believe buying this set at this price coupled with Amazon's shipping rates, is an outstanding deal. You can not even buy this set off the shelf in Germany for this price. These knives are made of the same high quality hardened stainless steel use on all Henckels premium knives. Since there are usually used on hard porcelin, stoneware or other china plates, they keep their edge very well. I do not sharpen these knives as often as our other Henckels kitchen knives because they do not need to be quite as sharp for dining. I recently bought this set for my daughter who was spoiled using these knives during all the years she lived with us. Now that she is married and on her own, she requested these for Christmas. The knives are well made and like ours, should last the better part of a lifetime.

I was really excited to get this because I thought it would be great for chopping up my veggies, etc. Perhaps I don't understand it's intended use, but this knife is seriously a let down. I don't chop through bone enough to make this worth it (I think that's what I read it is used for?). It is so, so dull. I even exchanged it and got the same dull knife right back. Great product and reasonable delivery time. These knives are a bit lighter in weight than I expected and not quite as sharp. But, with the help of a butchers steel and my wife we managed sharpen them. Using the knives as often as possible has helped me with the light weight and makes them well worth the price.

I have had a set of Cutco Knives for over 20 years. I love them very much. The fact that the handles are not wood and I can wash them in the dishwasher is wonderful. I lost my petite carver somewhere about a year ago. I was so heart broken, it was my favorite of the set. Just the right size for everything. I carved with it, cut up vegetables with it and especial sliced cheese with it. So glad my husband got me a replacement for my birthday.
Ok, I work with knifes daily and consider myself to be quite an expert. I got this set as a gift from a friend and loved the "look" of the knives. I took the 5" utility knife with me to work and use it for cutting veggies. I won't exactly say the usage is light, but I wouldn't say it's extremely heavy either. On average I cut 5-10 onions in half, 5-10 cucumbers in half, and 10-30 green peppers in half, all with the intent of putting them into a food slicer. The knives themselves keep their edges fairly well and haven't needed to sharpen them as of yet. However, the tang that holds the blade into the handle is too short and in 4 weeks broke out of the handle. I expect a tang to be a lot longer than 1" and was incredibly dissapointed when this knife broke at work. Also the non-stick coating comes on really easily. I washed it daily with a fairly abrasive scouring pad and within 3 days the coating was starting to scratch. I then moved to a soft cloth to protect the non-stick coating. I will upload a picture of the knife so that everyone can see the short tang on the blade. I'd say, if you buy this for small usage around the house, it will probably last you a while, but for daily usage, I'd say keep looking.
