I purchased this cake knife along with the matching cake server and they are beautiful. The design on the handle is so elegant and detailed. I wanted to buy a cake knife/server with a timeless design that would last long after our wedding and these are perfect.

I bought this cake knife not because I needed a cake knife, but because it was my turn to host the luncheon meeting of my book club. The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton is the book we read, and I wanted the luncheon to reflect the book's theme. A Victoria Sponge Cake and a white-handled cake knife figured prominently in the book, so I decided to make the cake and cut it with a white-handled cake knife (with a red ribbon tied around it, like in the book). The knife was the murder weapon in the book (don't worry, that was not a spoiler). The luncheon went over like gangbusters, and everyone recognized the "murder weapon" immediately. But back to the cake knife itself it is gorgeous and very high quality. We have used it quite often, and we're very pleased with it. So thanks to that book (also bought on Amazon), we now have a very beautiful cake knife.
