The size is alright. A bit slick when wet, I recommend you put a towel or something under it. Cleans up really easily without staining.

It works exactly like you would expect. The 17 by 11 inch board is a good size for breaking down whole fish or chicken. My only complaint is that it's a bit slick and can slide while you're working on it, but that's pretty much expected for plastic.
