Sharp out of the box, holds an edge well, easy to resharpena typical Dexter knife. Not as pretty to look at as my set of J.A. Henckel Zwilling Pro S knives, but every bit as useful. I think Dexter is the most cost-effective kitchen cutlery you could hope to buy.
