I have several vacation rental properties and had previously picked up a variety of knives "here and there". Many went missing or couldn't cut butter after awhile or ended up with broken tips. This knife set has all the basics covered, arrived nicely and safely packaged and sharp. The block helps prevent the knives from coming in contact with things that would dull them, but it also seems to prevent the knives themselves from disappearing. Maybe because guests know it would be easy to spot a missing knife.

Careful here....I was so excited to get these knives.....but wash by hand or get ugly rust stains as I discovered after one normal eco wash!!!

Appears to be an excellent buy for the price. Very sharp and sturdy knives. Hopefully, they will last as long as the much more expensive sets but only time will tell.
