Furi Tech Edge Restorer Replacement
Believe me they both work and work well. I am using old knives that I long ago thought could not be sharpened...they cut now like a razor. I would recommend purchasing the restorer for those knives that have long ago lost the angled edge and the diamond 'fingers' for keeping the edge on a regular basis. Wish I could find the replacement for the fine edge fingers.
Pfaltzgraff Everyday Capri Frost 61-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8
Our son and his fiance chose this Pfalzgraff flatware pattern as part of their wedding gift registry at a local store. I checked Amazon to compare pricing since the local store charges $50 for a 16pc set. As usual, I could depend on Amazon to offer great value, so I quickly ordered this set for an upcoming bridal shower.
When I opened the box I was surprised at how nice this set actually is. It has full place settings for 8 people, all the great serving pieces and even has 8 steak knives! What a deal! The box says 'Lifetime Guarantee' and the pieces are just as heavy and shiny as our old Pfaltzgraff stainless. I know this gift will be very welcome. And if the happy couple does not receive more flatware at the bridal shower, I will order another set like this for them. You can never have too much flatware especially when I expect this Pfalzgraff will last them through a lifetime.I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WAS VERY ATTRACTIVE AND WITH THE
PFALTZGRAFF NAME THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DURABLE. IT HAS RUST

My not liking the flatware has nothing to do with the quality of the set. Online it looked liked my set but didn't match once it arrived. I had to send back for that reason. Price was great for that many pieces and I am still looking for the ones to match my existing set.Read Best Reviews of Pfaltzgraff Everyday Capri Frost 61-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8 Here
Core Bamboo 6-Piece Utensil Set, Natural
I cook a lot so I need utensils that can hold up. I've had my Core Bamboo utensil assortment for about six-seven months. After hand washing them only (these are not meant for a dishwasher), the utensils are showing considerable wear. The pretty shine that the utensils had is gone in places. Where the shiny varnish has gone, I do not know. Probably in my food. There are also cracks forming throughout the wood on several utensils. While the utensils seem stable now, I know that I would not be happy if I found wood splinters in my food or mouth.
So my assessment of these utensils is very much mixed. They were gorgeous for the first four months of use and still are practical. If you use them frequently, however, they experience significant wear and tear. I have plastic and metal utensils on their fifth or sixth year of use. I don't know if these will make it to one year let alone two years.
I purchased my Core Bamboo utensil assortment at Big Lots for around twelve dollars. Big Lots also sells individual Core Bamboo products.
These utensils are made in China.Purchased these to replace our well-worn wooden utensils that had seen better days. Overall, it's a great set. A few of the items were a bit rough in areas--small splinters around slots, for example, so I've docked a star there. Otherwise, though, they're sturdy, function as expected, and clean up easily. Too bad they're not dishwasher safe, as well, but they're worth the effort of handwashing.

I wash them gently and they're holding up splendidly! One of the utensils was so thin that it broke immediately. The rest are great. The knife appears to have the same technical specifications as the one I ordered; however, I don't like the idea that it was substituted without any explanation. Ginsu Essential Series 4-Piece 4.5-Inch Stainless Steel Steak Knife Set with Triple Riveted Polymer
Incidentally, my last set of steak knives was a fancy Henckels set. They were nice; they were sharp; they lasted a few years. But the fact is, none of these newfangled serrated blades can be sharpened, and the Henckels eventually got too dull to handle a sirloin. These will get dull too, I know, in a few years of hard use. But it won't hurt so much to pitch 'em when they only cost me $2.50 per knife.Absolutely 5 Stars for this set...sharp as a razor, fits the hand perfectly, full tang for strength, and comfortable handle...dishwasher safe.....and CHEAP..!!!
Only drawback it doesn't come with a wooden storage block....am VERY satisfied...!!These knives are wonderful. They are always sharp and work well for all kitchen jobs, as well as for cutting meats. So far I haven't had any problem with the sharpness of each knife. They still seem to be as sharp as when I first bought them. Be careful around children-they could really hurt themselves, because these knives are super sharp.I felt compelled to write an interview on these knives because of how awful they turned out to be!! I bought them exactly TWO MONTHS AGO and they are already showing rust signs on three out of four of the knives!!! I am sure the fourth will begin to rust soon. As for the Ginsu "warranty", it would cost more to file the warranty claim then to just buy a new set. This buy was horrible for meWe bought these to replace our aging everyday knife set. I had purchased serveral inexpensive knife sets before buying the Ginsu's and returned them all. We use our steak knives for slicing up everything from carrots to cheese for our kids. The big test for me was how well a knife could cut cheese. If the blade is too flimsy, you can't control the cut. If the blade is too thick it makes it difficult to cut through the cheese. These Ginsu's passed the test with flying colors and the price was right. We've had the knives for a couple of months and are still happy with them. I'm sure they will eventually dull with age, but we haven't seen any signs of that yet.

I have used Rada cutlery for a dozen years, after finding a tiny set at a hospital gift shop. I have given this cutlery as gifts for years, including to terrific cooks, who cherish their pieces. This cutlery is thin and lightweight, and may require an adjustment if you are used to heavy knives that pin your foot to the floor if you drop them. These knives are elegant, sharp and have a stainless blade that holds an edge well and is easy to care for. Style points are deducted for the aluminum handles, but the grip is secure and the construction (American design and manufacture) impeccable. Do not wash in dishwasher, as handles will discolor. I personally enjoy the curved parers, long slicer, peeler, etc. Always pleased with Amazon service. I have no relationship to Amazon or Rada..enjoy both. This set was purchased for my nieces wedding shower. This set is my favorite because it has the 4" butcher knife. My personal favorite. It stays rigid through any cut and is a great length. RADA knives in general are a much better knife than the price states. They stay sharp, sharpen easily with the knife sharpener and will last for years. My family first bought them through a fundraiser and never looked back. You won't go wrong with these knives.Want Rada Cutlery Wedding Register Gift Set, 4 Piece Boxed Gift Set, Made in USA Discount?
If you want my review don't require comment especially counting the words I write during the comment etc etc etc.Messermeister Meridian Elite 8-Inch Kullenschliff Flexible Fillet Knife
This knife is exceptionally sharp, keeps an edge well, and is relatively easy to sharpen. I didn't realize most of my fishing holes were going to go dry when I ordered this knife, but I'm glad I did. I tried to catch and clean most of the fish out of my ponds before they went to waste, and I spent 3-4 days a week last summer cleaning fish. Bluegill, crappie, and bass are all a breeze. Even large bass (7+ pounds) I would not normally have kept were easy enough. I normally sharpened a little after each use, but the knife easily handled each days catch without going dull.
I was hesitant at first to spend this much on a knife. Now, I wish I had done this long ago.
OXO Good Grips Pro Swivel Peeler
NOTE: In use, I found the swivel peeler to be better for rounder items such as Spuds, and the Y peeler better for longer items such as Carrots and Parsnips. Horses for courses.

If you buy both, you will make them very happy, as they can then canoodle together in the drawer in the dark !I bought this & was amazed of the quality & the improvements over all the other vegetable peelers I have used in the past.

I laughed when my mother said that one potato peeler was better than another. But then I tried using hers and I stopped laughing. If you normally use a peeler (that is, if you are not a tried-and-true knife-wielding peeler) you should try one of these. Borrow a friend's if you must. I don't know why the handle should make such a difference; you'd think the blade was the important part. Maybe the blade is better quality too, who knows. But it makes a world of difference to the person who is peeling, so much easier to peel, better control, whatever. I don't know. But the difference is amazing. I have one now, you betcha! After you get one for yourself, you might be like me and end up buying them for every bridal shower's wishing well. This is just a fantastic peeler at a very reasonable price. Has a very comfortable handle that gives you nice control. The metal construction is a nice improvement over the original OXO peeler: its potato eyer is much sharper and easier to use. The blade is ultra sharp also. Not sure if I'll ever need to replace the blade, but its a nice option to have.I've been using a dull old Kitchenaid vegetable peeler for more than a year now, and got fed up with it. The appeal (HA!) of this peeler is that the blade is replaceable. So it might get dull in a year, yes, but I won't have to shell out ten bucks for another peeler, I'll be able to shell out slightly less (hopefully!) for a replacement blade. And this blade is SO sharp. It seems much sharper than the Kitchenaid peeler's blade was, so hopefully it won't get dull as quickly.
Replacement Hamilton Beach blender o-ring seal.
Thickness = 3/32"
Outside diameter = 2-21/32"
Inside diameter = 1-27/32"The seller says this gasket "Fits all Hamilton Beach domestic models," but if you are looking for a gasket for a Hamilton Beach Wave Station Express (Model 54615,) then you will be wasting your money if you buy this.
It is too small to fit where it is intended to go. That said, it is very close to fitting correctly, and if you force it, it does go on... but it doesnt lay flat once you do manage to force it on. Then to top it off, it is too thick. So then you have to force the sealing pieces together. It's just no good.
I was gonna send it back to the seller, but then I decided to just keep it and use it as comparison to find a gasket slightly larger that would fit my blender.
I was successful in that search. So if you are looking for a replacement gasket for a Hamilton Beach Wave Station Express (Model 54615,) go to the plumbing section of the Home Depot. Find the Danco "Fluidmaster" brand Toilet Flush Valve Seal. It says it "fits Mansfield 210 & 211" on the package. Model number listed is 88096. UPC is 037155676293.
That gasket fits perfectly and seals beautifully for the model of blender I listed. It will cost around $2.
Its dimensions are: 3-1/8" OD with a 2-1/8" ID... It measures 1/16" thick.

Although Amazon lists it as currently unavailable, it is still in production and can be obtained elsewhere.
Do a Google® search for "fruit knife with fork" and you will probably be able to find it. I did.It is ok for the price and a good piece for picnics and tailgating.--I like the handle and how slender the knife is, but if the blade was longer and made with better steel I would have given it a better rating.

I bought this single knife as a replacement for my knife block after one of my steak knives snapped (long story). The Wusthof brand is top of the line and this gourmet collection is their best product. The steel runs through the entire wood handle providing a nice, stiff blade that doesn't loosen or wiggle after years of use. I've never had to sharpen my knives. I've never had non-serrated knives that have stayed as sharp as these.Keep in mind, though, like all nice knives, it's best not to dishwash them because water can collect around the handle and start rusting. If you're careful drying them after dishwashing, you're probably okay, but put them on the top rack so they don't get as innundated with water.I've ordered a (block) set of these knives and additional knives over the last couple of years. I LOVE the chef's knife. It's my favorite one. All the knives are of excellent construction. We had the red sticker come off of one knife recently, but of the 20+ knives that we have from Wustof, that is not too bad--especially after two years of heavy use and my husband letting them sit in the sink (in water). I gave it four of five stars simply because of the price--if I could have given 4.5 stars, I would have because price is the only downside. It *IS* expensive. But it's a good knife, too.

I have a Henckles 5 Star Santoku and this is several classes better. The steel is ZPD-189 which is a new super steel that can get to a hardness of 67-69 vs about 58 for the 5 star. That means it can hold a much steeper angle and therefore be sharper, it will stay sharp longer too. It's difficult to sharpen but not impossible. The handle for me is comfortable. The only negative is you can get the Miyabi 700MC a lot cheaper. It is the same blade (owned my Henckles, makes the blade for this Twin Cermax) with a different handle.Want Zwilling J.A. We have always been a fan of Henckel knives. When my husbands birthday was coming around I knew I wnated to get him a new knife. I started looking at new Henckels and found this one I am glad I did. I have never used a knife in my own home that is this sharp, easy to hold, and balanced. I can barely keep it clean because we are using it all of the time.Wusthof Classic 7-Piece Block Set
These knives are sharp! I took them out of the box and did the paper cutting test. All the knives sliced right through a sheet of printer paper from bottom to top, without a snag...even the bread knife! So far I've only used them a few times for actual food preparation. I used the 8" chefs knife to chop garlic, onions, and a bell pepper. It cut through all these with little effort, and made beautiful, clean cuts. The chef's knife is amazing! I used the small paring knife to core the bell pepper and make finely sliced strips. This paring knife is awesome! The chefs knife works just as well, but for smaller, thinner cuts, the paring knife is great to have. I used the bread knife to slice up some bread sticks, which it did without squishing the bread even a little bit. I couldn't find a legitimate use for the scissors, so I tried them out on the day-old breadsticks, right out of the fridge. Sure enough, it was like cutting through a marshmallow! The scissors also come apart easily for cleaning and are very sturdy during use.
Overall the knives feel great in your hand. They are solid and well balanced. They don't feel too big or too small. I am a guy, and just for your reference, the distance from the center of my palm to the tip on my index finger in about 5-1/2 inches. So if you're somewhere around there, you should be fine. Also, if you know how to properly hold a knife(YouTube it if you're not sure), I think you'll find that you'll have plenty of control with all these knives.
So the few bad reviews these knives get all seem to be about two things. Some complaints have been that the handles crack and corrode. Most likely thats because they put them in the dishwasher. You really should discount those reviews. Unless, of course, you plan to do the same. The manufacturer tells you to hand wash them for a reason. The second biggest complaint is that they don't stay sharp. Were my knives still just as sharp after I used them? Honestly, no they weren't. I tried to cut through paper after my first full use, and it snagged in the area of the blade that got the most use. But this isn't a problem. I used the honing steel(comes with the set) and after 5 passes on each side of the blade, they were razor sharp again.
I've done a lot of research on these knives and several other top end brands, before purchasing. Every knife maker will tell you that you need to hone your knives before or after each use. That doesn't mean they are cheap. The carbon steel in these knives is sharpened to such a fine point that they WILL dull. Thats why all knife sets come with a honing steel. Its the same reason why a razor blade dulls after a few shaves, and thats just cutting hair. Your knives will be hitting a cutting board every chop. You really cant expect metal this thin to stay razor sharp forever. Besides, using the honing steel is fun and makes you feel like a pro. If you're concerned about having to use the honing steel every use or possibly having to sharpen your knives, just do a little research and you'll see its a pretty simple task.
Obviously I feel pretty strongly about these knives, and I realize I've only had them a short time. Im sure there are other great knives out there, but you're probably looking at these for the same reasons I did. Upgrading your current knives, price, and the ability to add more knives to your set later. And for the price and quality, I think this was a fantastic deal. Feel free to comment or ask a question. ThanksI've handled wustof knives before this purchase. The knives feel great to hold and use. The weight of the knives is what really differentiates it from others.
Superior quality at a great price!I got this set from Macys.. I loved the choices of knives it has and the block with more slots. Only complaint is the Chef's knife is too big for a short person like me (it's 8 inch). Otherwise this set is worth having for the price.
