Zyliss Santoku Chef's Knife, 7-Inch, Purple

I know I do! I am always so tempted to buy the delicious fruit this time of year then end up thinking twice about it when I realize I have to cut it up first. This gruesome task has never been an easy one until now. This knife has changed my entire perspective because it is both SHARP and comfortable to hold. This guy can take on competitors both large and small, from perfectly cut watermelon to pack in your lunch to diced onions for pasta sauce. Not to mention I can throw it right in the dishwasher when I'm done without worrying about the fun color fading. I am extremely pleased!

Zyliss has hit a home run with their line of color knives. We have a rather bland kitchen with black countertops and white cabinets. The color in the Zyliss knives brightens up our entire kitchen. And wow, do they perform!! I have used my Chef's Knife for a variety of functions from chopping, dicing, and slicing. And it stays sharp which might be why they might include a cover for it. I also purchased a yellow peeling knife to go along with the purple. The color combination is fun and my kids love the look too. They even commented, "Dad, you are the coolest Chef we know with those knives." I suppose I might give Emeril a run for his money, BAM!!! I will continue to add other knives of other colors.

I love, love, love this knife. It cuts everything from raw beef to roasted chicken beautifully. The handle is comfortable and I really like the cover for storing.

I have an expensive German knife set but always reach for this one first. Also own the paring knife and will be buying more.
