I needed something that would allow me to take multiple kitchen sized knives to outdoor barbeque competitions. I have a set of knives that include a 12" slicer and a 13" steel. I needed to be able to keep my knives clean and protected from the outdoors, and be compact when not in use as space is a premium at these events.

This roll is exactly as it looks. LOTS of room for even more than I carry, and a very rugged, tough exterior. Stitching seems to be tough, and the fabric is nice and thick. Fully loaded with knives, it rolls down to about 5 inches in diameter, and has both a handle and shoulder strap. The slots hold the knives firmly with enough of the handle sticking out that you can grab one without having to grasp the blade, and while they are snug and won't fall out, I found that you could pull a knife with two fingers.

If you need to bring a knife set with you for whatever reason, I've never seen a better way to carry them for the price, or even at 3 times the price. I have a few outdoor cooking friends that will be getting this knife roll as a present this year.

great buy for the price. I wish it had a pocket somewhere in it, but besides that great.

I travel alot and have alot of tools and this bag can hold most of them. It takes a beating and can hod my 12in knives (4 of them) and a wide variety of other tools plus my knives. I am most likely to buy another bag from the same manufacturer.
