After washing these knives less than a dozen times, they're rusting. You get the impression they're solid stainless steel from the weight and look of the handle, but the packaging really doesn't provide a clue as to their true construction. I'm a little disappointed. I've been searching for a relatively inexpensive 4-6 set of good steak knives for many months and I thought I found them... wrong.

These steak knives are great because I can sharpen them. I do not like serrated knives. Also, these are very "classy" looking and fit well with casual or formal settings.

I was thoroughly disappointed with this product. I tried cutting vegetables before trying them on steaks, and I'm glad I did. Since these steak knives cannot cut a bell pepper, I didn't want to mangle a real steak with one. I had several people try them. AND absolutely everyone found them difficult to use.

These knives are an extremely good value. They cut meat smoothly with little effort. I do take the time to sharpen them from time to time but do not consider that an inconvenience. The steak knives I had before were serated blades, I hated them. These knives are every bit as good as knives costing much more.
