Shun Classic Santoku Knife, 4-Inch

This was my first Shun knife. And in all honesty, I bought this knife as a purely cosmetic up-grade. That is, to replace an Oxo knife just like it, I really like the way the 4" santoku knives perform. My other kitchen knives include Al Mar, and Global among others, so the bar is pretty high. The reasons I could not give this Shun 5 stars are simple, the knife appears bent. I know that this is because it is a right handed knife, but in this size, I doubt the offset offers any advantage. Also, within reason, small blade should not equal small handle. Knives in this price range should be all about performance and function. That being said, the Shun cuts and performs like a dream, words like "surgical," and "scalpel-like" come to mind. I cannot wait to add the next Shun to my collection.
