I love all Wusthof knives, but this little one and my 6-inch Chef's knife are my two very favorites and I probably use the two of them almost every single evening when I cook dinner. I adore this little straight edge paring knife and use it for everything except very large chopping jobs. It is beautifully made and sharp as all get out. I don't think there is anyone who would not enjoy owning and using this knife. I am about to order it as a gift for someone.

I purchased the Kaiser One Wire Cake Cutter/Leveler in September 2008. I only bake cakes that require leveling a few times a year. It is a fun hobby that is becoming more than a hobby lately. This product is indeed light weight but does a good job on cakes that are easy to cut in the first place. Starting the cut is the hardest part of the process, but then does a very good job. Do not think that it would do good with cakes that have nuts, rasins or other additives in cake mixture. Worked very well for me.

Whew! I finally found a suitable flatware chest! After a couple failed attempts at chests that claimed they'd fit at least 16 place settings and extra serving pieces required, I am happy to say the search is over! If you're still searching for a flatware chest, you know how hard it is to find one that happens to fit that magic number of place settings and all the serving pieces you have in your collection. There are 3 Reed & Barton chests of this sort. I ordered the "Arlington" because it was slightly larger than I needed (16 place settings and lots of serving pieces), and I'm glad I did. Although I do have a little room to spare, this set does the trick. Regardless of the leatherette construction, it's of surprisingly nice quality and has heavy duty zippers, canvas, and snaps for closure. Well worth the $100 I paid for it (Neiman Marcus and plenty of others, charge lots more).

The Kuhn Rikon Nonstick Paring Knife is a very good value for a quality knife. We own several of these knives in different colors for use at home and in our shop. The different colors allow us keep the ones we use to cut materials in our workshop from accidently being used for food products.
I wish I had purchased a set of meat hooks years ago. As a line cook I didn't often have to lug around large pieces of dead animal and so this isn't usually something you find in most restaurant kitchens, let alone homes. I do a lot more butchery now, and while I don't work in meatpacking or at a butchers' shop, I see these used at at the local slaughterhouse, and they appear to stand up to professional-level usage. It certainly makes moving half carcasses much easier and safer, especially if you don't have a rail. It has a highly grippable and comfortable handle and does an excellent job of keeping hands and fingers out of the way of a razor sharp knife. Very easy to clean and sanitize, does not collect fat or other junk in any crevices. I use these often at work, and if I did any kind of hunting or home butchery I'd have at least a couple of them lying around. They are extremely pointy and sharp -I keep half wine corks on the ends of mine, as they live in my kitchen toolbox and I find puncture wounds to be unpleasant.

Although I can't complain about the hook it self, I am totally unhappy with this purchase. If the item being sold is just ONE, then don't put two of them in the picture. Especially when I could have bought the exact same one for $8 elsewhere. I have many swords and knives and i think this one might look the best. It looks like a real masterpiece once you get it mounted on a wall. The only thing that looks kind of ishy on it is the sand. it just sort of sits there instead of being in the spiral thing like it is in the movie. I have a set of ginsu knives that I really liked. They stay sharp, look nice, and weren't too expensive. The only problemthe 6 in utility knife, which you use practically every day, separated from its handle and couldn't be fixed or replaced. Very disappointing. I bought this knife to replace it. It looks similar and although a little large, basically fits in the knife set holder. What I love is it is all one piece so won't come apart on me. Why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it started to go dull kind of fast. Other than that, I like it very much.

I first bought a set for 8 a couple of years ago. Since then the finish on this stainless has not scratched one bit. It remains solidly glossy, despite much abuse. I have never had stainless over the years (many) that avoided some scratches over time. Also the pieces are quite heavy for stainless ware. I just today bought the set of four to add to the collection. BTW these could take the place of silverware very easily because of the very impressive look (yes, I grew up on silverware).

These are some man-size, heavy-duty grill tools. So big that I'm still trying to figure out how and where to store them. My husband liked them as his father's day gift. Contrary to my expectations, he thought the basting brush was useless and would have preferred a grill brush (grill cleaning brush). On the other hand, he was very satisfied with the tongs--he opined that locking tongs are for sissies and amateurs. Sigh. Men! Who can figure them out.
Between salads and tacos, my family goes through a fair amount of lettuce. Although it is not as healthy as many of the other varieties, we prefer iceberg lettuce. After washing the head of lettuce and removing the outside leaves, I like to use a lettuce knife to cut out the core and surrounding area. Using a plastic lettuce knife instead of a metal knife helps prevent the lettuce from browning, keeping it fresher longer. Depending on what we're doing with the lettuce, sometimes the leaves can simply be torn apart. However, if we're using lettuce for tacos, I like to cut it in skinny strips. Again, I like to use the lettuce knife for this. I had a previous lettuce knife which I ordered from a catalog, but it broke in two after a few years. I ordered this Fox Run lettuce knife as a replacement. I was surprised when it arrived to discover how flimsy it was (almost like a dollar store item), especially for the price. So far, it has done its job, but I have been very careful with it. I really do not expect it to hold up long. So I do recommend the use of a lettuce knife should you wish to cut your lettuce, but I would suggest finding something more durable than this one.

These boards are just great thin, lightweight, tough, dishwasher-safe, and easy on your knife edges. I had been using Sanituff boards, which are made of rubber, grippy and also easy on knife edges.
