It's not entirely clear how the glove is sized it's sized on the Men's chart. Julia Childs might have worn a Medium (she was over 6' tall). And the fingertip seams are quite bulky.

I purchased this glove around the beginning of the year and have used it less than a dozen times and it has already developed a small hole. I use this glove almost exclusively for mincing items on a microplane so the glove does make a lot of contact with sharp objects. I purchased a size medium and found the glove to be pretty long in the fingers. For size comparison; I wear a medium large golf glove (when golfing not cooking) which fits perfectly. It's also important to know that this type of glove will not protect you from pointed objects such as the tip of a knife. For the price it's a very good deal for most people. If you want a truly blade proof glove I think you'll have to spend about $70 and get a chain mail glove.
