YOSHIHIRO - Japanese Blue steel Kuro Uchi 2PC SET chef knife Santoku & Petty - MADE IN JAPAN

I am a professional chef (sushi) and really can recommend all of yoshihiro's products. Priced so much better than Suisin or Masamoto but with a similar level of quality.

I bought these for home use and I am quite pleased. Sharp out of the box, definitely recommend whetstoning any new knife though. The blade road is nice and clean. The black surfaces do have some minor imperfections such as scratching or pitting but this is to be expected with this style of steel.

Both knives are light and well balanced.

I purchased this set as a gift for my son who is currently attending culinary school at the CIA.

He absolutely loves them!

I am seriously considering purchasing another set for my wife and I.

Beautiful knives came extremely sharp out of the box. Actually the sharpest knives I have ever received and I own many. Fast delivery. The only reason I give if 4 stars instead of 5 is because I could have received it a day sooner if a signature was not needed, as no one was available to sign the first time around.
