I purchased this set as a gift for my sister who was having an upscale wedding. I wanted something that looked expensive but was not too weddingish so it could be used again for home entertaining. Seeing the photo online I was concerned that it may end up looking like a cheap acrylic handle but this set turned out to be perfect. The crystal was heavy and beautifully designed, just what I had in mind...and my sister loved it too!

I purchased this set for my wedding. When it arrived, it looked quite nice and the 2 pieces felt decently solid. We used it to cut the cake and fortunately it did not break then. Once we went home and used it for the FIRST time after the wedding, the handles from both the server and the knife came off and I could tell from the construction that it is of very poor quality. The "crystal" is cheap glass, so don't expect much. Bottom line, if you want something that looks decent from far away and don't care about tossing it in the trash right after the wedding, then the $15 is not a bad investment.
