Wusthof Gourmet 8-Inch Serrated Bread Knife

Typically I will spend the extra cash on Wusthof's Classic line of knives because they are not stamped, rather forged (and trust me hold a much keener edge) and as I put these knives to work 40 hours a week i need that, but in the case of serrated knives, even with heavy usage(with proper care of course), the gourmet line holds up.

That said, if you are purchasing knives for your home, i.e. light usage, and not a professional environment I would lean toward the gourmet line for all of wusthof's products.

We bought this knife for my father-in-law for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He said that he didn't realize how bad his other bread knife was until he started using this one. We've been slowly purchasing him Wusthof knives to replace his collection. We also use them ourselves and they are great! Cooking with sharp knives makes all the difference in the world and Wusthof is worth the money.
