Bought these knives after doing exhaustive research into forged knives. We considered Chicago Cutlery, J.A. Henckels, Wusthof, etc. I was very nervous about buying an inexpensive set (aka cheap/inferior quality.)

Finally decided to buy this with the assumption that if they didn't live up to the quality I wanted, I would send them back.

Well, I'm not sending them back. Good weight to the knives and block. Very sharp and a good cut.

Save your money and buy this set of knives. You won't regret it.

I bought 2 sets when Tirger Direct sold them for $35 each. It was a steal. These are forged, full tang, sharp knives. They are very solid, no flexing. Some do have minor imperfections in the handles and blades when you look up close. Nothing effecting their use it's just you can tell they were made quickly. However I was expecting that for forged knives at this price. The steak knives and meat fork are probably the best I've owned. The meat fork doesn't bend when you pick something up, including a roast. I've never had forged steak knives before so that is a first and they look good on the table. The block was made fast too so expect small imperfections. However it works. By the way put your steak knives in upside down so you don't drag them over the wood each time you take them out. I'm very happy considering the price. After all these are forged not stamped knives. They will stay sharper longer. Remember to always hand wash your knives no matter what you pay. They will not rust and will stay sharper longer.

When I purchased this it was at an incredible price of 20 bucks. The knives work great and I have no complaints.

The multiple steak knives are basically unnecessary, but I think every knife set comes with a bunch of steak knives. If the set came with a pair of good kitchen scissors in addition (or maybe instead of the steak knives), it would be perfect.

But again, I can't complain these knives are certainly worth more than 20 bucks.
