Messermeister 8" Slicer Edge-Guard

It's hard to get excited about an edge-guard, but like I said, it either works or it doesn't work, so it should be rated either a 5 or a 1. Anyone who rates it in between is overly critical or really searching for the meaning of life. This is a 5, because it works. It fits my 8" knife. It preserves the blade, and I don't have to worry about stabbing myself when I reach into the drawer.

I had never heard of these edge guards, being a "normal" household cook. However, after getting them to round out a free shipping order, I love them. Tney really protect your knife blade in your drawer and protect your hands when reaching in. Easy to insert and remove.

This is a piece of plastic that will tightly cover the business end of your knife and prevent you from reaching into a drawer and slicing your hand open...what more can I say about it? It does what it's supposed to do. I think all of these knife guards are over priced for what they are. Buy a set of them if you want to save a few dollars.

These are well made and appear to be of high quality. We are pleased with how they fit onto the knives and when put into the drawer, they hold tight and do not come off. This has helped the knives hold their edge. We liked this one so much we bought enough more for all the knives we need to store in drawers!
