Yamazaki Alexandra ICE 5 Piece Placesetting

I bought this as my first set of flatware and I am very pleased. I have looked at other fine brands and liked this design the best. It is very elegant yet still simple enough to use everyday. It has a good feel and doesn't feel cheap. I recommend this flatware! :-)

We picked this setting when we made our wedding registry 4 years ago. We picked it because:

1) none of the utensils had a "weird" shape

2) we liked the design

3) the butter knife had a thick enough blade to spread butter but still sharp enough to cut a decent steak

4) all the utensils had good balance in the hand

All 4 still true.

The only possible negative is that the knives will show rust spots if we use any lemony detergent in our dishwasher... so we don't use lemon scented detergent & no more spots.
