Zwilling J.A. Henckels Pro S Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Knife Set with Block

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Pro S Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Knife Set with BlockMy first set of Zwilling Henckels knives and I can't believe how much better they are than the Henckels International (which I had been happy with). Well worth the money.

I've wanted a set of the Henckels Pro knives for years, and finally made the investment. This is one of the best sets (variety) I've seen, and the better price. Quality is outstanding, as you'd expect. All I'll need to add for my needs will be their cleaver. Can't go wrong with a quality set of knives, though I wish they'd offer a better quality sharpener (I don't mean the steel that comes with the set-not everyone can be good with these).

The knives in this set are exactly what I expected. However, the description of the product states hardwood block has steak slots. The block I received did not have steak slots, but did look like the picture.

My wife enjoys watching the cooking shows and trying out new things in the kitchen but our previous knife sets were all garbage at a third or less the price of these. Amazon as usual had the best price on this item even though these high end knife sets are WAY overpriced in my opinion.

As far as the quality, I've never seen or used better. They are sharp out of the box and you can feel the difference in these and your standard knifes. There is a reason you see these used by professional chefs once you bite the bullet and incur the initial cost you will be glad you made the switch from the "disposable" big box store sets.

2 of the new knives have flaws in workmanship.

One knife has a flaw in the SS Blade "quit noticeable"

and the other flaw is only half of one blade was polished at the top section of the handle.

MY first thought is these knifes are rejects and therefore they are sold cheaper.
