Musical Cake Serving Knife plays Happy Birthday

I ordered two cake servers as I planned to give one away. When they arrived only one worked. A week later I went to wrap the other, as a gag gift, and it was not working. Then it made a few peeps, worked again, then stopped. I gave it a a gift and luckily it worked when it was unwraped. Do not purchase. I read the other negative review but went ahead with my purchase because it was so inexpensive. Still not worth the cost.

As another reviewer mentioned, this is made of plastic. However, it was plenty strong to cut cake and serve it without any problems.

Others have pointed out that there is no 'on/off' switch, but it's not designed that way. The music plays when your skin touches two different parts of the handle. The music stops if you

1) hold the knife in a slightly different position, or

2) put the knife down.

The kids loved it they all wanted to take turns using the knife to cut the cake! It was fun. It got old after a while so I just held the knife differently and it was great.

very disappointed...cheap plastic...no "on/off" switch...music doesn't stop until you take the battery out...don't waste your $$$

I give it NO stars (someone cleaning up at the party actually threw it out I had to "rescue" it from the trash) :(
