I have only had this cutting board for a week but I just want to say I love it so much!

Yes, it is just a cutting board. But when I received it, I was surprised that mine looks even better than the picture. It is a very nice piece of natural wood. And I like the size of mine. I bought the 12 X 10 X 3/4. It is small but thick. Excellent for every day use! Yes it will show once I chop something, but I don't think there's any chopping board that won't show the usage. Also, on the description of the package, it describes how environment friendly & responsible the company is. I love this! So although it may be a little more than the small plastic or bamboo cutting board, it is a better value for the money! I think that this great little chopping board will last a much longer time!

I've been looking for a wood cutting board for sometime and my wife ended up purchasing this for me. I have been use to using the hard plastic boards for many years and found the wood board to be very refreshing. There is a slight give when chopping food. The one thing I must stress is to season the board prior to use. When I received my board it was dried out and took several coats of food grade mineral oil. Otherwise, I believe this board will last for many years with appropriate maintenance.

This is a very good board. It's heavy enough to be stable, and not too heavy for slightly arthritic hands to manage. The wood grain is very attractive, and this size is particularly useful if counterspace is limited.

After searching for a cutting board to replace my epicureans I decided on this board and another similar proteak chopping block and I have been very happy. I was originally attracted to epicurean because it can go in the dishwasher and it is made of sustainable materials but unfortunately it really dries out and warps and dulls your knives. This board is beautiful and the juice grooves are great for watery foods like tomatoes or meats. Stores easily.

I use this as a cheese board. Several cheeses can be lined up on board with room to spare. Don't know how it would hold up to heavy duty use, but for my use it is perfect. Nice looking
