Zyliss Cheese Knife with Inner Blade, Made of Stainless SteelI bought this knife for a friend of mine for a Christmas present. He knows alot about cheese and good cheese knives i was hesitant giving him this since it cost me less then $10. All he can say is WOW. he was THRILLED about getting this since he lost a similar one in a divorce. He recommends this cheese knife to anyone. sometimes inexpensive isn't all that bad. He used it on hard and soft cheese and it works great. I would buy another one for a cheese lover if i had to

I bought this knife because I could cut a straight piece of cheese. It works great with hard cheeses . Soft cheeses do stick a bit to the knife they need a good chilling! It took some practice with big chunks of cheese as they are harder to hold . So far this is the best cheese knife I have found .

We really loved this knife. Great for cutting uniform slices of cheese.

However, it's very poorly made. After about 3 months of fairly infrequent use (maybe 5 uses), the handle just snapped in half in my hand. I wasn't even slicing a particularly hard cheese either.

This knife is sharp and cuts well but if you want to use the inner slicer, then beware! The inner cutting edge should be pointed the opposite direction because if you attempt to gain leverage or control by placing your had on the knife to press, that is on top of the outer blade. I'm tossing mine because I have stopped myself three times from pressing there and am afraid one of my kids my do it without realizing it and seriously cut their palm. It's too bad because it would have been an easily changed solution when engineering the knife.

You know how when you use a knife to cheese it always get bogged down and hard to cut? Not with this knife. This knife glides right thru the cheese. I like it. It don't get bogged down it glides thru the cut. It cuts thin. It don't seem to cut thick but it cuts easily thru the cheese.
