I didn't realize when I ordered these that they were larger than traditional flatware MUCH larger! They look humorous, honestly. I had never heard the term 'continental size', so I was shocked when I received the box and saw how huge they were! The salad fork is longer and larger than the dinner fork in my traditional set. The teaspoon is larger than the dinner spoon, and the dinner fork has tines that look 4 inches long! The dinner spoon I believe is too large to fit in my mouth literally. I have kids, and I'm not sure how they would be able to use these. I'm thinking that I will send these back, unfortunately, because they are just TOO big. They are very, very heavy and seem to be good quality. I can't really comment on that since I haven't used them or put them through the dishwasher. Hopefully this will alert other buyers that are unfamiliar with the 'continental' term what exactly they are getting!
