Oggi Adjustable Stainless Steel Cheese Slicer with Ergonomic Handle

I purchased this particular cheese slicer, because Amazon listed it as being made of stainless steel. I had been looking for an all stainless steel roller type cheese slicer for awhile, and this one seemed to look fairly heavy duty. I purchased two of them, but when they arrived, the package describes the construction as "Chrome plated die-cast alloy body with stainless steel wire." Not really what I was looking for, but as a cheese slicer, it does seem to work ok.

We are serious cheese eaters...it's the main dish a couple times a week. So, having a good slicer is very important to us. This slicer fits the bill. It has a nice weight, feels good in your hand, feels durable, and is easy to adjust.

I was kind of surprised that it was dishwasher safe. Well, lo and behold, upon washing in the dishwasher, the spool part became a cloudy mottled matte white color... Still works great. Just not as pretty as before it was washed.

UPDATE: Wire broke, I returned to Amazon and got a full refund.
