Oggi 7-Piece Stainless Steel Cheese Set

We ordered this cheese cutting set about 6 weeks ago and we were really excited that we would finally be able to cut large bricks of cheese into sandwich size slices with the included cheese guillotine, but then we discovered that the guillotine is not all the great. Firstly, the guillotine does not use a wire for cutting despite the picture here on Amazon showing what looks to be a wire, it uses a thin metal blade that easily gets stuck to the cheese due to its larger surface area. Secondly, the guillotine itself is very light weight and can slide around the counter top if the user is not careful. All in all the guillotine was a bit of a disappointment.

Both of the included cheese knives that came with the kit have been put to good use though. They're sharp and despite their hollow handles are remarkably well balanced. The included "sample picks" have not been used just yet, but they seem like they would make a nice addition to any cheese platter.

The board is not large enough to be used as an actual *serving* board... it's just not big enough for more than one cheese. Also, the other reviewer is correct -the blade is about 1cm deep, it is not a wire. Cuts reasonably well.

I got all excited seeing a cheaper SS cheese cutter, but this is NOT the answer. It has a small blade not a wire, and the blade binds with the edges of the slot because it has to be tightened properly. Bad design and I plan to return it.

I just bought the $16 cheese cutter with a wire, and it was delivered within a day, and it works well. The tools seem OK, but the cutter is junk.

It was too small as a board you cano just serve 2 cheese at most... The idea is beautiful but toooo small for the amount of cheese I needed to serve.
