The silverware utensils are strong enough.The flat dishes are attractive porcelain (china) with decoration of 2 silver rings pattern. The carrier looks strong enough, though I am afraid to drop the dishes, so I put another hand underneath the dishes when I carry this set. (quiet heavy with one hand only). I was not sure if the dishes were silver, but they are china, normal. I am convinced that these are identical to Wallace Silversmith buffet 49 piece set(they have silver and gold colors, this set at Amazon is silver), but let me know if I am wrong. Wallace is at least $120 including the shipping (around $20) when I froogled it. So take advantage of low price and free shipping of Amazon.
Every piece looks quite attractive. I received only recently, and if I find any further information, I will post here.
