Henckels makes a great knife and this set represents a great value. If you like a heavier knife, go with a Wustof. If you favor a lighter set, this is the one.

I have read many instructions on carving a turkey and I could never achieve nice slices. Now I can. Turns out I knew what I was doing I just did not have the proper tools. This carving set, with it's very sharp knife and strong fork, is wonderful.

The carving knife is OK and works well for both poultry and beef/pork roasts. The real thing of beauty is the carving fork!!!! After using normal(??) carving forks with tines that are 3-4" in length, the long tines on this fork is an absolute joy to work with. If you do not particularly care for the knife, buy the set for the fork, and relegate the knife to your junk drawer. I have never had a carving fork before like this, it is wonderful.

This was purchased as a gift and the recipient says it works great. It's a knife and a fork to hold the meat in place, and it does what it's supposed to do with good ergonomics. It should be normal for a product to work like it should, but it's a pleasant surprise when that's actually the case.
