The Wusthof Grand Prix II knives are some of the highest rated by Consumer Reports and Cooks Illustrated. These are beautiful knives and are made in Solingen, Germany (not China or Spain as some think.) The Grand Prix II line are basically the same as the Classic except the handles are Ergonomically designed polycarbonate and not the triple riveted with a fully exposed tang. The blades are all High-carbon, rust-resistant stainless steel, but you should wash and hand dry after use. I paid $87 for the set! The knives are extremely sharp and have a well-balanced feel to them. These are the best knives for the best price!
this was a gift for a friend of mine who has icky knives in her kitchen. She loves these, has them in a special place to keep them safe and out of the hands of mis-users (cuz they will take your finger off and you won't even notice, they're that sharp). Love my wusthof knives, they're the best!
