These knives cut smoothly, although first impressions they do not appear very sharp. In reality they cut easily and effortlessly. They are practical for every day use and appear dishwasher safe.

The knife is a decent knife. I was disappointed that it was serrated (the photo didn't show that it was serrated).

I had a set of Ginsu knives from 1992 that I still use today. So, I assumed that if I bought more 22 years later, they'd be the same or better. Somehow, the paring knife is not as good, and neither are the steak knives. But, they're inexpensive, so I guess I can't complain too much.
