Mundial 5100 Series 7" Hollow-Edge Santoku Knife, Red

I've used some of the finest knives made, and this one is right up there with the best, but at a more reasonable price than many. The blade is NOT too thick don't know what that's about. I am a female with smallish hands and I find it absolutely balanced and easy to work with. And a knife is SUPPOSED to be as sharp as possible dull knives are the most dangerous! I just love it and use it every day, in fact bought a whole set just based on how pleasing this one is to use, not to mention to look at! BIG RAVES!!

Perfect size, weight and for a lot less money than other good knives.

Love this knife. Chose it because I read a positive review on a cooking club web site. The knife is well balanced and makes food prep chores a pleasure. Wish I had it years ago.

The top edge of the blade is too thick, so you often need two hands to slice things. The cutting edge sharpness seems fine, but it's too heavy and the balance is not quite right (blade heavy). After using the Mac knife, I'm spoiled. Spend the extra money (not much!) and get the Mac knife which is a top quality knife and the best value on the market right now. It's in a different league.

As adverised, very sharp knife. we donot use it regularly as we cut our fingers with same company knife (the serrated one). we use it only to cut very tough objects like pumkin skin, or gourd or pinapple etc..

Good heavey knife, must have one in every kitchen , even if you donot use it regualrly.
