I can't say enough about the Knork. It is a beautiful piece of cutlery (important to a woman of vanity like myself), it works very, very well. I do not try to cut steak with it, and do believe my children should learn to use all utensils politely and correctly.
BUT, with that said. I have seven kids living at home. Since we got the Knorks, I can set the table with one utensil, I rarely have to cut food for anyone anymore, and the dishes have decreased dramatically! HOORAY.
I am looking forward to trying out the rest of Knork cutlery line. I have Pfalzgraff now, but can see my self switching over to this beautiful, nicely weighted cutlery.
Great invention!I was actually searching for buffet forks or runcible spoons (spoons with three short fork tines) when I came upon Knorks in my Amazon search. While the name "Duo" was confusing, it was a couple of dollars less for a set of four, so I ordered them. The "Duo," I discovered. refers to the combo of the finish on the Knork (matte and polished). They have a nice heft to them and really are a pleasure to use. The edges, although not sharp to the touch or feel, cut right through sausages, eggplant, etc. I am pleased with the appearance and quality of these Knorks (fork with the ability to cut through food, thus eliminating the necessity of also using a knife).

I acquired the Knork flatwear four or five years ago. This item being a combination of a knife/fork is ideal for eating pizza, cutting cooked vegetables and ground meats. It is easy to clean, keeps its shine very durable and attractive at the table. The "knork" is one of those "Why didn't I think of that?" products. The concept is simple. If you are right-handed the lower tine comes to an edge sharper (but NOT sharp)than a standard fork. Other reviewers have said how nice it is for cutting pastry and other "softer" foods without "smooshing" them. It does that well. It also does softer meats like corned-beef. The weight is good. It has a very luxurious feel (if you can say that about silverware) and balance. It's basically what it claims to be. I didn't give it "5" stars because of the price. For those who are picky about their table settings, having an odd fork in your setting may distress you (it certainly doesn't me) so you may wish to buy the available complete service for four. I bought 8 knorks to avoid rinsing/washing them between my dishwasher cycles. Plus, if conversation lags at the typical boring dinner party, the "knork" is a "conversation piece." Again, the product is Five star (I use mine all the time), the price makes it a Four star.I have owned a full set of knork cutlery for the past 6 years and absolutely love them! We use them to cut EASILY throught steaks, pork, chicken and fish. We rarely have to pull out the steak knives for dinner.
