I received this as a gift recently. I have wanted a mezzaluna and poof! This is a beauty. It is a perfect size and the stainless steel rocker "knife" is wonderful because of the double blades. It is very sharp and will make quick work of what you are chopping.

So far I have used it to chop onions, garlic, herbs, nuts, and coconut. It is my newest toy. The wood is simply stunning and you find that you want to display it. If it was a little larger I could use it to put my collection of tops in and also as a spinning area for my tops. Everyone who has been over for dinner and watches me pull it out of my walk-in pantry gushes with compliments. It looks that good and it is that practical.

Board is awesome, make sure you get the liquid wax to condition the board otherwise it will go to heck on you within a year or so, but all butcher blocks have this issue. The cutter is nice, just a bit tough to sharpen and stuff gets caught in between the blades, tried a different 2-bladed cutter and the same thing occurs with stuff getting caught in the blade.
