Kuhn Rikon Original Corn Zipper with 2-Tone Handle

I love the taste of fresh corn in salads and recipes, so I thought this corn zipper would really make the job of getting the kernels off the cob a little easier. Unfortunately it is just too awkward and is not as effective as the plain, old knife. This is just collecting dust along with other handy dandy tools I bought to make my tasks a little easier. Some work, but some, like this--just can't take the place of the things my mother taught me.

The corn zipper is limited to taking off only about 2 rows of corn. For me, it seems a little slow. I also find it awkward. However, your fingers are well protected.
