I bought this item so that I will NEVER have to buy another cutting board again. My cabinet is full of warped, cracked "quality" boards. The delivery box was broken and the board was loose. I expected to see the board was damaged but it was not. It is a sturdy, very thick (3 inches!), gorgeous cutting board with handles for ease of cleaning. The problem was it was very, very dry and needed to be oiled immediately. You should order the oil at the same time so you can treat it right away. Now that I've oiled it several times, it is the best cutting board I've ever used. Although it is quite heavy. I recommend Boos. I understand they are the BEST cutting boards you can buy and mine was worth the $$$.
Amazon did a great job of packing this item: the box was gigantic and well padded. The board arrived in perfect condition. We have not yet had a chance to use the board, but it looks beautiful.
