held several versions of the ikon series (classic, supreme, etc.) and found the ikon classic to be the most comfortable to hold in the hand. The synthetic rounded edge is in my opinion much better to grip that the ikon, ikon supreme(cutleryandmore website). Even though I would never wash these knives in any way other than by hand, you just never know if one will end up in the dishwaser by mistake and the wood handles on the ikon would take a beating. The ikon classic and ikon supreme would survive the mistake.Given that, I would never willingly put them in the dishwasherThe quality of the knives is outstanding along with its ability to hold a very sharp edge for a long time. I only use a wood cutting board and in my case it is a Wusthof board.
