I knew I wanted a butter bell, but I wanted plain white and I really didn't need a large one! There are plenty out there, but this one seemed like the best size for me. My grandparents had one at their house and I loved the idea of having soft butter all the time! This is a great little invention!

Overall a good product, but the picture is misleading. This is not white, it's kind of an earthenware color, almost beige. Slightly bigger than I thought it was going to be, but does comfortably fit 1/2cup of butter at a time. Works perfectly and sturdy too. I've already dropped the bell part twice on linoleum and once it hit the counter before the floor... no chips, cracks, or issues. Other than the color difference, I'd recommend it.
