J.A. Henckels Flatware 8-Piece Stainless-Steel Steak Set

These knives came in a box that said the knife set was free with a purchase. One of the knives came with rust on the handle. They are not particularly sharp.

This steak set has smooth steel handles that look good with my flatware of which I have two patterns. I am pleased with it overall, but it takes a little extra work to cut through the tougher part of a steak or other meat. It it does a good job of cutting through those spots, just a extra work. They work fine while looking good on everything else. If there were a half-star rating, I would have picked 4.5!

I chose this rating because I have found nothing wrong with them. They cut into steak and clean up nicely, and they are a good match for the Reed and Barton stainless flatware I received for Christmas. They aren't too heavy or too light, and the price was right. Delivery was prompt. Goldilocks likes them too!!!

These steak knives matched my "wish list" perfectly. To start, Henckels is a brand I trust, so I knew I'd get good quality. The weight and balance is good and the knife cuts well. Secondly, the pattern is neutral enough to go with most flatware patterns when I entertain. The all-metal looks dressier than a wood-handled knife on a "fancy" table. The set of eight is enough for the table, and when you throw in a good price and quick shipping, there's nothing more I could ask!
