Wusthof 15-Slot Knife Block

The box says "Made in Germany" but the block itself is labeled "Made in China". This is not a big deal since it is just the block and not the crazy expensive German-made knives; it's just a surprise to see the contradiction on a product. There is also some slight wood mold on the bottom part of the block but it doesn't hurt the aesthetics (which is why I got this). I got what I paid for, which is a typical $40 -$80 knife block for $30. I'm not a knife block connoisseur, I just needed something to put my knives in and that's exactly what I got.

Block has 15 slots as described although picture showed only 13. The 2 extra slots are handy, other wise the product looks just like the picture. Very pleased with purchase. Looks great on the counter and helps to organize a nice collection of very sharp knives.

Attractive wood grain and solidly made. Arrived very promptly (with in two days) from the supplier.

I was looking for a light wood knife block with less than 20 knife slots. It has a low profile and as such it is deeper and takes up more counter space than I expected. A couple of the knife slots are poorly cut. This product seesm like a factory second. the price was good so I can live with it.

One reviewer said this was like a "second" another mentioned a bit of mold -both of which concerned me. Mine is just gorgeous and HEAVY and leaves a small footprint......I am extremely pleased with this knife block :)

Finally, a place for a large chef's knife. All of my knives, a pair of Fiskars scissors and a knife sharpener fit in this knife block. It also is attractive, and has a relatively small footprint.
