Curious Chef Medium Nylon Plastic Knife

Well, I needed a nylon knife that wouldn't scratch up my bakeware, but I didn't want to pay the Pampered Chef price + shipping. This knife did the trick. It's cute, to boot!

I didn't actually realize this was a knife for children. I wanted a non-metallic knife for cutting lettuce and it works great for that. It actually has a serrated blade which cuts lettuce well but is not easy to cut fingers on. I love it.

My daughter just received this for her 5th birthday and it works very well. She was over the moon that she got an actual knife to use. I am not in the habit of giving my children knives so she was a bit shocked at first. When I explained that this knife would not cut her as long as she was careful she was raring to go. She cut up and apple, a few grapes and a carrot in record time. The carrot took some effort however, it is plastic and much the same way safety scissors require more effort to work, so to do these. I am very pleased with this purchase and I am glad that she is able to help me more in the kitchen as she loves to do.

I wanted a solution to be able to cut brownies and cakes without damaging the nonstick pans. After searching through all the plastic knives, this seemed to be the appropriate solution. I didn't need anything expensive but wanted something that would last. So far after a year and many uses the knife has remained in perfect condition and has kept its utility, even after many cycles through both hand washing and the dishwasher.

Overall this is a great deal because it does exactly the job I wanted it for and the price was great compared to many of the name branded knifes for the same purpose.
