Very sharp knife and slices bread without shredding it. Very comfortable handle. Cuts fresh as well as toasted breads very nicely.

Simply said, it's just a great knife for the cost. I only really need a chef's knife and bread knife in my kitchen and I use them interchangeably for everything. My chef's knife cost me well over $100 and I was willing to spend the same on a quality bread knife. A friend recommended that I give this knife a chance and figured for the cost, I wouldn't be too disappointed if I didn't like it. That said, I was pleasantly surprised.

Pros:

1) I am used to bread knives without the raise handle or this type of grip. I am converted. Its nice not to have to hang your hand over the sink to finish cutting through something like I've done with typical bread knives.

2) Dishwasher safe. I'm not too worried about it and don't feel like I have to baby it after every use.

3) Warrantied for life.

4) Most important, it cuts what I want it to cut and does it well.

Cons:

1) I'm left handed. The scalloped blade edge does slightly favor usage by someone cutting from the right side of an object. Despite that, the knife still works great for me.
