Messermeister Meridian Elite 23-Piece Knife Block Set

I've spent a lot of time looking at Henckels, Wusthofs, and Messermeister. They all have certain attributes, but the Messermeister has it all. So I ordered the 23 piece set. If you work it out it's $39/piece, or if you figure full retail price on the bigger knives, you get all the 12 smaller knives for free. We've used them and the bolster-less handles take a little getting used to but they truly are amazing to sharpen. Others say the weight balance and sharpness can't compare. I would agree, owning various Wusthofs already.

So, I spent a lot of time and now a lot of money on these knives. I use them every day and while I felt guilt about the price, they truly are a bargain. They truly are well made. They are the best performing (sharp and accurate) and best feeling knives out there. They aren't well known, but that's OK. They will last my lifetime and then some.

PS, I had an issue with the block and I emailed the company and they sent me a prepaid UPS label to send it to them and then they are sending me a new one. Their customer service is really good.

So would I buy it again? You bet.
