Chef`s Choice Non-serrated Blade for Model 609,610, 615 Food Slicer

This blade was totally worth the extra money, even though I wish it had been included with the food slicer. Still, the price for both was very reasonable.

I put this blade on and have thin shaved ham, Arby's like roast beef, deli chicken and turkey breasts that I have roasted myself. This blade is great for cheese too. The serrated edge works better for bread, and I like it better on partially frozen raw meat I'm slicing for like jerky, not sure why, but this one seems to do better on already cooked meat.

This blade is a must have if you plan on slicing meat with the Chefs Choice 610. The slicer only includes a serrated blade which is great for bread and veggies but not the best for thin slices of meat. With this blade I am able to use the thinnest setting on the slicer to produce thin, even, deli quality style cuts.

UPDATE: I have had this blade and the 610 since 2008 and both are still working like brand new. This is probably one of the best purchases I have ever made for my kitchen!

This blade also fits model 615. Does a terrific job on thin slicing meat. Just remember to lubricate it after each washing, before putting on your slicer. Also, be extremely cautious when washing. It is extremely sharp, and just a few seconds of forgetfulness, could cost you a trip the the ER!
