I gave this set to my husband last father's day. They were a perfect gift and he loved them. The set is very sturdy and the handles are long enough where you won't burn your hand or fingers. The wood is still great looking even after a few washes. Love the Outset line, their items are unique and very modern.

Just received this set in the mail. First Impression is that it's even more beautiful than it looked on line. Outset seems to be a cut above the rest of the field in grilling tools. I actually only got the whole three piece set because it was the same price, on sale, as the tongs alone. Was going to just get a set of Xtra long OXO stainless tongs, and saw the Outset Jackson's, which have same lockable design, but the sweet rosewood and extra length. So far so good, I'll update after I use them for a while as to the quality. I think I might just grab a few more sets of these to give as gifts for discerning grillers on my list.

I thought they were very eye appealing, but was disapointed with their ability to pick up things. They do not meet at the bottom to grab things small, they move from side to side also adding to the problem of lifting things up, I would not recommend them for these reasons.
