This peeler only works properly if you peel towards yourself. And you have to exert a fair amount of force for it to work. So my son peeled the skin off his knuckle on first use...we'll stick with our adult peeler for him.

I bought this for my daughter as she loves to help in the kitchen. She received it in her stocking last year. At five years old this is still to cumbersome for her to handle, she prefers to use my zester to peel everything, and this gets put back in the drawer everytime. Its a wonderful idea, but I think this would be better for an older child with larger hands.
