I love this item. My hands are not as pliable as they use to be and being electric I have no problem using it.

This sharpener really does put a very sharp edge on all plain (NOT serrated) knives. I have always used "static" held sharpeners or "steels" to hone my knives, but once I started to use this electric sharpener, which is really easy to use, and has a "static" honing slot, my knives have performed as they should. Whether slicing fresh bread, tomatoes or meat, the newly sharpened knives sliced as if they were scalpels! I am VERY pleased with this device.

I love this sharpener for two reasons. 1. Its sharpens knives. 2. It has instructions that explain how sharpening a blade is only done by "drawing" the blade toward yourself when honing the blade (this is not the same as cutting toward yourself). And now I have to be careful reaching into my knife drawer, and am even thinking about buying a butcher block to store my cutlery
