It was airmailed from Jinhua, Zhejiang, China, where is well known for its ham like that of Smithfield. While the corer does work, it is not professionally polished and is just like something made in a home-factory. The box, with brand name as Flagship, was soft and wrinkled. I checked on Amazon and found it basically the same as the Stainless Steel Pineapple Easy Slicer, Corer by KF Kitchen, sold by and shipped from lightbox, for $4.29. If you buy this as a gift or hold high standard and plan to return it, you may want to think twice, because the return postage may cost more than what you pay.

I do love it, ihad bought some before for gifts and everyone loved them. A person I had given one to ask me to by 2 for her for gifts. It makes cutting pineapple so easy. I have eaten more pineapple last year and this year than my 76 years, because it's so easy to cut and my mom in her last 96 years has eaten more, because of the cutter. It is excellent.
