Old Hickory 7-14 in. Butcher Knife

Old Hickory produces a awesome knife at a great price. The is a BIG knife that can handle just about anything. I use it to carve up BBQ briskets and Boston Butts with no problem. Great knife!

I found this after doing a web search for Old Hickory knives. I have several original Old Hickorys and needed a longer bladed one. This one is made by Ontario Knives, and is similar in appearance to Old Hickory, but the handle is narrrow and light weight. Almost feels plastic. The blade is thin and much lighter than the original. Haven't sharpened it yet, so am unsure how well it will hold an edge.

I used it for breaking down two pigs, worked great. Stayed sharp through out, and was very pleased with it. Good value, I would recommend for anyone butchering large pieces of meat.
