Nambe is known for designing and producing unique pieces. This is no exception. You can tell it's Nambe by the sweeping curves on each side that are mirrored in the accompanying knife (which is ergonomic as well).

I received this as gift a few years ago from a good friend who knows how much I admire aesthetics and quality. It has been a staple for all of my home entertaining ever since. I use it as a cheese platter, or a fruit display, or a tray for various other food items that can be showcased with this clever design and a marble center.

My single complaint is that the marble center is too small for my personal wishes I love cheese! The entire tray is heavy and sturdy. It is a deep brown color with hints of gray and black veining. This matches the black marble. It cleans easily with a quick soapy rinse and an occasional smear with Boos wood lotion will keep the wood shiny and healthy. Everytime I use this I receive a dozen compliments. You will not regret buying this or giving it as a gift.

I bought this as a gift for my wife and it came as advertised. Great quality and asthetics -arrived on time and discretely to my office. We love nambe products and have never had an issue with any of them. In particular, the woodcut and grain makes this piece as beautiful as it is functional.

Even though advertised as new, this item looked like it was used. The finish on the wood was poor, and the stone center did not fit well into the bowl. Not normal Nambe quality. Sent it back.
