These ceramic knives are definitely the next best thing to sliced bread..Absolutely the sharpest cutters I own..No more sharpening the old steel blades every time I use them..

On the down side my mom found out they cannot be used as a can opener...lol..as her old steel knives were..

We have ceramic knives (besides these) that I love. They are the sharpest knives I've ever used. They cut nearly effortlessly. We used them daily. The reason I put this set of knives on my wishlist (and subsequently got for Christmas) was that my other knives would periodically fall out of the handles. We superglue them back in and they last for many months this way.

This set of knives has been used almost daily since 12/30/12. My husband had the smallest knife break off (not just fall out, literally snap off) in his hand when slicing an onion on 1/19/13. That is our biggest complaint. I also do not like how they cut. They are duller than my other ceramic knives. The handles have a 'guard' that make cutting thicker items difficult. The longest knife isn't very long. I have to chop many of my vegetables in half then slice and dice.

I am taking my old ceramic knives out of storage and using them again. I'd rather use a product that cuts better and more comfortably even if I have to occasionally glue it back into the handle.

I felt confident putting these on my wishlist since they came with a warranty. Unfortunately my in-laws didn't buy them from Amazon so I am unable to return them now. That is not Amazon's fault though. :)

Good looking set that performs as advertised. The knives are great for slicing and chopping but not for very thin cuts as the blades are too thick for this.
