J.A. Henckels International Forged Prime 13-Piece Block Set

I own these knives and I love them. I got the 50% off one day only sale at Target so I bought the set for $99. For that price, these can't be beat anywhere in my opinion. They cut through most any food effortless, they are dishwasher safe, and they have the lifetime warranty. Good buy.

First off, these aren't 5-star Henckels, but they are really nice. The blade edges on the larger knives are very nice, sharp and easy to resharpen. The steak knives are serated which I didn't look hard enough at the product to know before hand, but they sure do the job well. Nice looking, and work well. Definately recommend.

I've had this set a little over a year after doing research on knife sets. Performance wise it has worked as expected, however, recently I have been getting rust spots on a few pieces which I find disappointing on a 18/10 forged knife set. Personally I'd say look elsewhere.

this is a nice knife set for the money, I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my in-laws and they are very pleased. my only complaint is that the knives feel a bit light, I have a set of Henckels that are similar and they are heavier and feel like they are of slightly better quality.

The product description didn't list the type of knives in the set. Unfortunately it just had the large 8" knives and small paring knives along with a set of steak knives. I like the quality but would have liked some 5" knives too. It has extra slots but I can't find any 5" knives of this type to purchase to add to the set. I would have sent it back but my wife threw out the box. There seems to be better sets available than this one.
